As time draws near to leave for Ireland and my Sligo performances; but I have one show left here in "merry old" SAT AUG 2 The Four Horseshoes, 80 Park Street, Luton; 9:30PM-12AM featuring MAMMIE, my band of many players. MAMMIE, at The Horseshoes, will be a laid back representation of Blue Americana with two breaths of Celtic Twang, buried within the vibration of as yet another vital adaptation of sound. Michael Dennis Mulvaney from USA, on amplified acoustic guitar, harmonica, and vocals; Cliff Mahwinney on electric bass and back up vocals, and William Goffigan on trap drums and backup vocals. William is from Baltimore, MD, USA, and has drummed for The Count Basie Orchestra, Sun Ra, Stan Getz, Major Lance, and toured England and beyond with Zoot Sims. Admission is free, and the music and arrangements by Michael Dennis Mulvaney will be the focus. MAMMIE performance at The Four Horseshoes, 25 miles north of London in Bedforshire, was well received with a healthy crowd and two encores. Personnel was boosted by the addition of Tim Flood from English rock band: Kosmick Debris on lead guitar, for the evening performance. The highest point for me was the privilege of having Sun Ra's trap drummer, William Goffogan, on stage with MAMMIE. Look for William on the band roster for future shows on the East Coast of USA, England, and Ireland, the first of which will be at Jay's Salloon in Arlington, Virginia, USA, on Saturday, August 16 from 9PM until 1AM. Michael Mulvaney, solo, will be performing in Sligo city and Strand Hill, County Sligo from August 8 through 12, Then back to the USA to complete the August schedule in Charlottesville, Arlington, Nellysford, and North Garden, Virginia and Washington, DC. Balloon Man, ROAD, and AIR LAND SEA CDs are available at or through Vinyl Revelations in Luton, England. All Michael Mulvaney and Michael Dennis Mulvaney CDs are available at live shows worldwide and through www.michaelmulvaney.com. The release of Dancers On The Sun has been delayed due to major label interest. This CD features many Top musicians from the worlds of Jazz, Rock, Regge, Celtic, African, Funk, Classical, and Blues. Of special mention: Dancers On The Sun features Dee Dee Bellson, daughter of Louis Bellson and Pearl Baily, on backup vocals, and was co-produced by Emmy nominated: Paul Brier, former Director of Musical Recording for Smithsonian Institution Audio Recordings, and former ownner and chief audio engineer and founder of Virginia Arts Studios. Original MAMMIE T-shirt is available, as well as the new 7 color collectors edition T-shirt. Check out the designs at www.michaelmulvaney.com, click on T-shirts, etc.
